DNR Advisor Award

The 14 Mile Creek Watershed Joint Committee would like to announce an award for a key advisor of our committee.  We’ve reached a major plateau and received a lot of recognition for the work of this committee this year.  We owe so much to so many for getting us where we are today.  I can’t imagine where we would be without the help of our key advisors.

We recently recognized Scott Provost as 14 Mile DNR advisor of the year for our 14 Mile Watershed Committee.  Scott Provost has been with us since this committee was first formed late in 2016.  He’s been a teacher and a guide, and has worked alongside us on a number of our watershed projects.  He structured our initial water testing program and helped us to evaluate results and revise the plan as we moved forward, enabling us to provide solid evidence of nutrient issues in our watershed.  He’s assisted us with healthy lakes projects and with other field projects that will help improve our water quality.  He’s helped us to understand the science regarding our lakes and our water, and helped us to identify resources and potential solutions that will benefit our watershed.  He’s been a positive force on our committee and helped us keep moving the ball forward.

Thank you, Scott for being a truly great DNR advisor for our group.  Your involvement has made a difference for us.
